In The Expendables, the Albatross is the primary mode of transportation for the mercenary team, who have disguised it as a Global Wildlife Conservancy boat-plane.
In The Expendables 2, it has (unexplainedly) been replaced by a Canadair CL-215 'Scooper' — a water-bomber amphibian flying boat purpose-designed for fighting forest fires — XP 2112 is used while fighting the soldiers in the river after rescuing Trench Mauser and Dr. Zhou. During the battle in the river, a soldier boards the plane and attempts to take it over. Barney throws the soldier out of the plane into the river killing him and makes an escape. The plane is later destroyed in the mines where the miners are being held captived by Jean Vilain and his Sangs.
